In 2010, on a Sunday evening in Houston, Texas, Brittany Paul (Founder) was almost asleep on the floor of her and her husbands one bedroom apartment.  Right before she fell asleep, Brittany had a vision of a clothing store. Quickly she opened her eyes and said the words "Designer Lockdown." The vision was clear, as she seen parts of the boutique: the walls, the trim and the chandeliers, she knew that this was something that needed to manifest. With focusing on her passion in music, Designer Lockdown was put on hold and a distant dream.
 

10 years later with the world under quarantine due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Black Lives Matter movement, worldwide riots and not to mention the highly controversial presidential election underway...during a pivotal and uncertain time in our worlds history, Designer LockDown was born. 

Our story may not be the most common story you hear about the launch of a clothing boutique, but we hope it inspires you to not give up on your dreams, goals, and even your purpose. Life is full of ups, downs, wide and quick turns, but even if it takes you 10 years to revisit the idea, don't let it pass you by.  Thank you for your support and we look forward to hearing your story!
